    Inexpensive Statement Art.

Popping in to share this fun space that I spruced up this morning, with a really fun way to get inexpensive statement art for your home. I shared more in detail on my Instagram Stories, which isn't that SO fun how you can see projects getting done in real time? I love it!

This area of our home has always been so sad, a couple years ago I grabbed 2 Hemnes Shoe Cabinets from Ikea to help with our desperate lack of a mudroom or even hall closet and while they have been super functional, nothing I put above them has seemed to work very well. Finding the right scale and filling the space up without making it feel cluttered has proven to be a task. This area is right off our small, but main family room and kitchen so I didn't want it to feel busier than it needed to be.

Since this area is part of our main living space, it made me literally itch (I'm overly sensitive to my surroundings maybe? Maybe it's designer problems?) that it was never quite right. I finally had the epiphany that I needed to fill it with a series of art prints, but display them in a modern way, and they needed to be BIG... large art can be really pricey so I found a really inexpensive way to do it.

I grabbed 3 of the biggest Ikea Ribba Frames, found this adorable floral print set on Etsy, and printed 3 20x30's at Costco. I am impressed with the quality of the prints for about $10 each, I feel like you just really can't beat that. After all was said and done, these 3 huge art pieces added up to about $100 all together. Not bad for filling an enormous wall space at all. Have you ever looked at printable art on Etsy? There are so many amazing choices for great prices! It is a great way to get a really high end art look in your home on a budget.
